OpenSUSE 11.2 Integrates a Slick KDE Desktop
We were initially impressed, and eager to tweak, KDE 4 when it first arrived as a Linux desktop option. Then initial enthusiasm gave way to, well, "How do I get my frakking wireless working?" and other productivity dead-ends.
Since then, though, KDE's matured a good bit, and continues to look a bit more graphically forward-looking than the relatively straight-forward GNOME that's the default for most Linux distributions. KDE 4.3 is, in fact, the default desktop for openSUSE 11.2, though GNOME, KDE, and the lighter Xfce are all available for installation and as live try-outs on CD and USB.
OpenSUSE 11.2 is a free download for nearly any system. Hit the link for a run-down of new features and plentiful screenshots, and tell us what you're liking, or looking for, in the comments.
